It's Saturday, I'm oncall tomorrow, and I'm booooored.
TELEVISION
Finished watching Back, which was... interesting. I hated literally every character on the show lol, but the final episode brought a bit of heart.
Also started on Russell Howard & Mum USA Roadtrip which I find both endearing and also cringeworthy! (esp since I just finished the rap episode). Russell's mom is presh though, they have a totally adorable relationship.
James & Jupp is a nuanced little travel doc. I've only ever been to Cardiff in Wales (as Elis would probably call it, Fake Wales). North Wales looks utterly breathtaking tbh, totally underappreciated natural beauty. Same goes with the Scottish Highlands. If I ever had a gap year, I'd just spend it roadtripping around the UK..
VIDEOGAMES
I've been slacking on my gaming, lol. I'm gonna continue with LIMBO when I get the time to do so.. I picked up a few new titles during the Steam Halloween sale tho -- Hyper Light Drifter and Oxenfree. Exciting new things.
I'm super glad about Night In the Woods getting new content next month too! A terrific excuse for me to replay the entire thing again. I never really finished all the alternative storylines the last time tbh, I always ended up hanging up with Greg and left Bea unloved lol. GREG IS JUST MY HOMEBOY, OK
BOOKS
Finished Are You Dave Gorman? and can happily conclude that Dave is utterly insane. He's the most obsessive comedian I know, and I know a LOT of them (even Alex Horne hasn't reached his heights of insanity). Moved on to Joe Lycett's Parsnips, Buttered which is a short entertaining read. It's the end of the year now so I'm in a bit of a rush-rush to complete my GoodReads reading challenge. I utterly failed it last year but I still have a fighting chance for this year's. Just 5 more books to go!
OTHER STUFF
I'm going home for the weekend next week (again, yeah). Looking forward to that as usual. Living on this island is getting to me now... I'm lethargic, frustrated, bored. I miss having friends, I miss liking work. I want to go back, but even old colleagues have forgotten about me now..

James & Jupp! I saw the first episode of that! You're right, North Wales is totally gorgeous. I went there on a school residential trip for about the week and it was the best holiday I've ever been on. You've got to go up one of the mountains, the views are, for lack of a better word, breathtaking.
Also, whatever this is about Russell Howard being cringey while in the company of his mum, I need to see immediately.

Ooh man I hate physical exertion (and mountain-climbing) with a passion but I'd throw all that aside to take in the gorgeous welsh countryside. That scene where Elis and Miles were driving alongside the mountains was especially pretty!
I think the Russell Howard & Mum travel doc was on Comedy Central UK a while back. I downloaded the episodes but they should be on youtube as well. Comedians being cringey with their parents is a thing?? see: Romesh Ranganathan, Jack Whitehall, etc. Not that I mind..
