peiyenguess who enjoyed the Trainspotting sequel SO MUCH? OH YEAH, IT ME. FUCK, the film was beautiful. nothing will ever beat the iconic masterpiece of the original, but god, T2 hit me in all the feels. Chasing nostalgia, characters so familiar they were like old friends, the beauty of Edinburgh, that absolute gorgeous soundtrack... fuuuuuck. I loved it from start to finish. I can't get over Mark and Simon's stupid fucked up relationship. THEY'RE MY STUPID JUNKIE CHILDREN. Ewan McGregor and Jonny Lee Miller were fucking gorrrrgeous.
The beautiful thing about getting to this movie late is that all the great fanfic has already been written. hahaha YES PLS. I've buried myself into some great SickRent stuff on AO3. Ilovethem Ilovethem Ilovethem
Irvine Welsh's Porno has shot right up to the top of my to-read list. I'm so fucking relieved that that book exists and I still hadn't read it yet, the fact that I still have some new adventures to live with these balling cast of characters. I can't wait to get stuck into it, silly Scottish dialect and all.
OTHER THINGS
eh, i dunno. bored with work, annoyed that I've got 4 oncall shifts to deal with next week (since half the department are on their Raya leave and all). I'm just whiling away my life here as usual. I'm living for August now... idk, the EdFringe just seems to be the only place and time of the year when I'm actually capable of feeling utter happiness, so I just find myself getting pulled back there year after year, trying to chase that high. It's a thing to live for at least, eh.
