I love it when my mutuals do awesome things like this

screAMS. I've yet to meet Dan in person (some day!) but aaahhh it's been like literally two years since I spoke to Andy :') glad to know he still remembers me making a fool of myself.

I love when my twitter/tumblr friends offer to get my artwork signed by comedians lol. never forget when Christen met John Finnemore and made him sign this

honestly I wish I could've been there just to see Kevin's reaction to seeing actual fanart of himself

I always find it slightly odd whenever I see people on the internet complaining about how toxic fandom/tumblr can get, because I've had nothing but positive experiences over the years. Lots of the time fandom is the only thing in my life that's keeps me sane. britcom in particular has brought so much joy tbh, i honestly don't know what i'd do without it.

I'm never one for being outspoken so my fandom roles have mainly been sitting in the sidelines and throwing in the occasional squee and fanart. In bigger TV/movie/bandom circles a lot of it was drowned out by the crowd but britcom was relatively small enough that I got noticed lol. Add on the fact that comedians are so damn approachable and some of the nicest people on the planet. seriously.

Tumblr fandom has died down a bit since my uni years (or spread out onto other platforms like Twitter OR maybe i've been too busy with work to notice), but god it's provided some of the best moments in my life

- seeing Mark Watson at the 100 Club in London as my Actual First Comedy Gig Thing (2012?). then meeting him after the show (with much encouragement by my best friend) to get an autograph / shove fanart into his hands. I love how surprised he was. I'm still mortified.

- traveling 10000 kilometres to not only meet up, but flatshare with a bunch of people I met on the internet, during my first Edinburgh fringe (2013!) We were the most diverse bunch of comedy fangirls ever (a malaysian, two brazilians, an italian, and occasionally joined by an american / a dutch / ... a worcesterian?). It baffled Andrew Maxwell a LOT during his show at the time.

a copy of this print is probably hanging somewhere in alex's flat

- me sending self-made stickers to Michael Legge's agent on a whim... and the letter being received by one of my tumblr mutuals who was interning at the company. She helped to forward it onto Michael's home address aaaand that was the beginning of our beautiful/strange friendship

god, i really wish I had more motivation to draw these days. anyway. excuse the odd entry, i just felt like reliving some good old times because *sings* heaven knows i'm miserable nowwww

MUSIC
Fall Out Boy's new album cannot come out soon enough!!! I've been having their new songs on repeat for the past couple of days. Champion in particular speaks to me on so many levels. Hngh.

if i can live through this,
i can do anything

Bastille's latest single is greaat as well

Dan's falsetto on you don't want to fuck with us gives me chills

BOOKS
Reading The Martian. I love sci-fi and space exploration and the protagonist's dumb sense of humour. and damn, what a great film that was. I might give it a rewatch after I finish the book.

OTHER THINGS
had one of my most stressful shifts last week. our ICU's been full ever since. having a young patient collapse in front of my eyes was the most terrifying shit, more worryingly so when the ward was so ill-equipped to handle an intubation. sigh. never again.
