peiyenhalf-a-week-or-so of home time has come to an end, I'm back in Borneo again and oncall tomorrow, what!
i did some STUFF. went out to dinner with some friends. visited the hospital and got stared at by house officers bc I was a total stranger; gifted my papa mentor with some chocolates and Adam Kay's book (i think Mr W would enjoy the dark and dirty humour, honestly). date with internet stranger has fallen through, surprisingly by complications on his end instead of me chickening out as I originally expected.
also i realised that i have bought way too many things online. ah.
one of my modcloth orders came in!
I'm pretty happy with most of the stuff I bought. But note to self: size down to XS for US brands.
this was my favourite purchase tho:
new oxfords! just wanted a new pair of non-threatening work shoes (right now i wear bulky Doc Martens that make me feel like stomping on things, it's great)
also received some p. incredible comedy merch
that portrait of me was unexpected lol but SO ACCURATE hahha. I'm super pleased with it!
I bought the Elis James and John Robins colouring book a while back, too. I find them way too precious to colour in, though.. but gosh golly, I just love that there's more comedy-related merchandise now. It makes me so happy.
also got to sort out my bookshelf, a.k.a. the pride and joy of my life:
look at it and weep
the bottom shelf there is my unread pile and frankly, it is ridiculous. I love reordering my books though, it's a ton of fun and so satisfying to do.

TELEVISION
I'm so glad that Travel Man is back!!! so so much fun to watch. I never tire of seeing Richard Ayoade, he's amazing. There's some cool guests coming up this series, too (Sara Pascoe!! Joe Lycett!!)
Finished the season finale of Fear the Walking Dead and ahahha... how did I not see Troy's death coming. Damn. I was starting to kind of get into terms with me liking his shitty ass. I mean, his character deserved to die for being a dirtbag and all but..... I'm really gonna miss that pretty face :'( gosh I'm so shallow. Still, looking at some of the fan reaction makes me feel a bit more sane. It's weird how people get so up in arms about the fate of fictional characters. Also Sharman is booked on as series lead in season 2 of Medici now, soooooo fuck it, I'm now obligated to watch (Bradley James being casted as his brother promptly sealed the deal there tbh). I'm usually bored shitless by period dramas but erhm, I'll give it a shot for the eye candy alone. Meanwhile, idk if I'll bother with the next season of FTWD..
Started on Electric Dreams and I sort of like it! Science fiction is more of my thing. I really liked the first episode (mainly cause I loved the two leads, esp Richard Madden's character). The comparisons with Black Mirror is a bit unfair imo, both of them have their merits and Electric Dreams is more of adaptations of classic sci-fi if anything. I'm not making much sense here. It's good TV, anyway.
THERE'S NEW QI, TOO! Yaaaaay. *looks through the episode list* OMG, the guest list looks amazing! yes @ this gem returning to my screens.
MOVIES
watched Kingsman 2 with my big bro today. loved it. fucking love the costumes and choreography in these movies, they're sooo drool-worthy.
OTHER THINGS
I.. *ahem* have a new "side project". I'm relearning the art of gif-making, in a way. Nervous laughter. I've got a new blog for this shit now at https://oxygifs.tumblr.com/ BUT it is strictly NSFW and I MEAN IT. I've always been the person to make things because I get too annoyed when the internet doesn't provide the exact content I want. So yes, I want to make fancy gifs of my favourite adult content and apparently that is a thing now. ohhhhhh boy. will I regret this
